Funny story about this one. I walked into a used/ retro video game store here on the East Coast of the US. Not expecting to find much, I walked in and browsed mostly to kill time. There on a shelf sat this album, along with a few other black metal albums. Why they were there, I have no idea. The guy working said they had talked about selling used music, and a friend had dropped off a shit load of black metal CDs. Nabbed this one for 5$.

For anyone interested in the murky depth that was Les Legion Noires, a loosely knit group of French black metal bands from the early 90s, this is a must have. This recording is raw and harsh, but mysteriously compelling in it's obscurity. The underlying effort and bitterness can be heard throughout the recording, which is what I like. Like it or not, it's a piece of history.

Somewhat obscure outfit from Greece. Eerie sounding, cold and raw Black Metal here. I actually listened to this quite a bit a few years ago. I just thought it captured a really nice, otherworldly sound. Pretty comfy to listen to.
